BREAKING NEWS: (Part-II) Magnetic Pole Reversals and Possible Crustal Displacement

There is still a strong debate if Earth has experienced a sever tilt in its past - perhaps up to 90° which goes far beyond a better known tilt called "Earth's precession". Sometimes referred to as 'precession of the equinoxes', 'lunisolar precession', or 'precession of the equator' - identify the rotation of the Earth's axis which shifts between a tilt of 22.1° and 24.5° and back again, taking approximately 41,000 years to complete a full rotation.

Currently, the Earth's tilt is at 23.44° which is roughly halfway between its extreme values. The tilt is in the decreasing phase of its cycle. However, new scientific data could re-write this well known formula.

Scientists have found evidence that the Earth might have actually rolled several degrees in the past, completely shifting continents i.e. Canada in the southern hemisphere. The theory has been around for some time, however, new data introduces an extension to already established surface markers such as growing mountain ranges and supervolcanoes.

New discoveries indentifying a symbiotic connection between the Earth's outer core, mantle plumes, crystallization, and a growing equatorial bulge postulate a new understanding that the Earth axis would change its orientation until an equatorial balance was restored. The good news is the possibility of actual crustal displacement would occur over the time scale of millions of years.

I would suggest an almost compulsory first question must be "where in this million(s) year cycle are we? Perhaps a demanding second and third question would be: "what do we look for and what actually happens?

One issue I feel confident in addressing - and that is the Mayan calendar and 2012. I can tell you the new discoveries being discussed Will Not happen this year or next year or anyone currently reading this in their lifetime. So please, no emails about Dec. 2012 - we have enough on our plate to add more. Having said this, I do believe the Sun and our galaxy (Milky Way) are at the center of the Mayan calendar and its meaning - and yes, it does have an effect on the Earth's core, but not a sever axis tilt.

 

Breaking News About Earth's Magnetic Field

Hard scientific evidence has come forth confirming Earth's magnetic field is weakening. This is important for two reasons. 1) A weakened magnetic field allows charged particle events such as solar flares, coronal mass ejections (CME), coronal hole filament, gamma rays, and galactic cosmic rays to produce enhanced consequences to extreme weather events which includes earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, tornadoes etc.

2) The second major consequence of a weakened magnetic field is its identification as the 'precursor' to a magnetic pole shift. It is estimated that Earth's magnetic field reverses every few thousand years at low latitudes and every 10,000 years at high latitudes. It is believed we are far enough along the cycle that many living today will witness the bouncing back and forth of magnetic north and it swings reaching latitudes below 30°. Magnetic north can also move east and west longitudes.

The geomagnetic dipole has decreased by nearly 6% per century since first measured by Gauss in the 1840s. This is 10-20 times faster than the "Ohmic" decay rate. (The process by which the passage of an electric current through a conductor releases heat)

The causes of this rapid decrease in Gauss stability - is the proliferation of reverse magnetic field on the core-mantle boundary, especially beneath the South Atlantic, and the transference of heat energy in a horizontal stream of the magnetic field from high to low latitudes by flow in the outer core. The combination of the magnetic transference on the core-mantle boundary and radial diffusion through the core-mantle boundary is the cause of a weakening dipole.

 

Precursor First - Then Full Magnetic Flip

 

Individual magnetic reversal records show a remarkable degree of repeatability, including dipole collapse, rapid polarity change, and fast dipole intensity recovery stages. This is to say historical magnetic field reversals indicate during the period of Earth's magnetic field reduction will be in flux for several years before a full magnetic flip will incur. At this stage of magnetic minimization to zero point, the magnetic field may have multiple swings north and south across the equator, additionally with large excursions of geomagnetic polar flux in east and west longitudes.

The final stage of reversal is when the dipole intensity partially recovers and briefly exceeds the surface non-dipole intensity, which in turn is followed by a very rapid dipole intensity collapse, final reversal, and recovery of the dipole intensity in the new polarity position. The final latitudes and longitude positions are unknown. However, historical records indicate north will be south - and south will be north - but at what degrees north south east and west is anyone's guess.
