A major magnetic storm is expected in the coming hours as a consequence of the arrival of the CME associated to the X1.4 flare of July 12th. New M-class flare from 1520 today - also sunspot region 1523 shows makeup for M-class activity.

If the CME arrives in the evening hours, and provided skies are clear, then auroras might be visible in Northern Europe, Washington State, Northern Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Maine.
