Our baby Alexa's grandmother lives in Bulgaria. Her name is Stoyanka and our daughter is her first grandbaby. We communicate with her often via Skype. In fact, Stoyanka was the first family member to see Alexa just 10 minutes after she was born. I brought my laptop with camera and microphone for just that reason.
But seeing her grandbaby via computer is just not the same as putting her arms around her and smothering her with love. In fact, the very words Stoyanka often uses is: "I am suffering to put my hands on this beautiful child. She is a part of me and I ache to be with her."

You can image how this tugs at my heart. The trip to Bulgaria is way over our budget. Perhaps you can help. We need just short of $5000 to make this happen. I plan on staying a short 2 weeks, but my wife Mariela and daughter Alexa, will stay an additional month. The airfare alone is approximately $3000 for Economy with baby sitting in our lap. We estimate other travel expenses i.e. lodging, food, etc. would probably be around $1,500.
This perhaps once-in-a-lifetime voyage needs about $5000.
