Last days
prophecies of the great seer Nostradamus are coming true-at a
breathtaking pace, says a top theologian.
"We are
concerned with three prophecies written by Nostradamus while he
was living i the town of Agen in Aquitaine," says Dr. Romulus
Blake, a theological consultant to the College of Cardinals in
Rome.
"The
prophet loved Agen, a pleasant town that had once belonged to
the English crown after Eleanor of Acquitaine married Henry II
of England in 1152.
"Agen
had a more cosmopolitan air than most French cities and the resulting
intellectual freedom allowed nostradamus to practice his craft
without fear of persecution.
Sadly, in
1513, plague broke out in the town, but the great physician and
prophet was unable to save the life of his wife-a woman of hight
estate, a woman according to the chronicles-and his children.
"Toward
the end of that year, the grieving Nostradamus wrote the famous
Agen Prophecies, a series of 18 quatrains concerning Armageddon
and the Last Days, only three of which have survived.
Dr. Blake
says that after he wrote the Agen Prophecies, Nostradamus, a man
emotionally and spiritually shattered, wandered aimlessly through
France, Italy and Sicily, and very little is known of his life
at this time.
But in 1540 he spent some time at the Priory of Sion in Lorraine,
and the three surviving were found in a vault there by an obscure
historian named Dr. Lesseps in 1912.
"The
form of the Last Days quatrains are typical Nostradamus,"
Dr. Blake says, "But their prophecy is less hidden, possibly
because the seer felt safe at the priory, possibly because the
seer felt safe at the priory-which belonged to a heretical order
of monks who taught among other things, that Christ survived the
Crucifixion, married Mary Magdalene and settled in France.
"Nostradamus
saw in his prophetic visions a world very different from his own
agricultural France, at that time a land just beginning to shake
off the cobwebs of 1000 years of medieval mummification.
The seer saw
a terrifying future where man's rashness and greed would melt
the polar ice caps, where Jews and Arabs would stuggle for survival
in the streets of Jerusalem and where signs and wonders in the
sky would disturb the rest of the president of the United States.
"As Nostradamus
wrote in his preface to the Agen Prophecies: "When these
events occur, know you that the Last Days are at hand and the
coming of The Lord of Creation is at hand."
Here are the
three surviving Agen Prophecies, the translation and interpretation
kindly supplied to Sun by Dr. Blake:
- THE ICE
CAPS MELT, EARTH'S MANTLE DESTROYED, THE LAND BELCHES FIRE AND
SMOKE.
- WEEPING
IN LORRAINE AND AMBOISE,
- AND THE
FAIR LAND OF FRANCE IS CONSUMED BY FLOOD.
"This
prophecy is very specific and speaks to global warming and the
melting of the polar ice caps." says Dr.Blake. "Earth's
mantle is the ozone layer, and the fires and smoke are caused
by our burning forests.
"Nostradamus knew the melting of the polar ice caps would
cause sea levels to rise and cause disastrous flooding.
- THERE IS
NO PEACE IN THE LAND OF ISRAEL, AND WARS ARE FOUGHT FOR THE
HOLY PLACES.
- THE STREETS
OF JERUSALEM RUN RED WITH BLOOD,
- A MIGHTY
SHIP IS STRICKEN IN A FRIENDLY PORT.
"In this
quatrain, Nostrdamus describes the current Israeli/Palestinian conflict,
and he predicted that this battle would be a sign of the Last Days,
"Dr. Blake explains.
"The mighty ship stricken in a friendly port is the destroyer
USS Cole, targeted by terrorists as she refueled in the port of
Aden."
- THE LEADER
OF A GREAT EMPIRE AWAKES FROM SLEEP,
- SIGNS
AND WONDERS IN THE SKY DISTURB HIS REST,
- FROM THE
WHITE HOUSE HE SPEAKS TO THE PEOPLE,
- BUT THE
PEOPLE ARE NONE WHO CAN PUT AWAY THEIR FEARS.
This is probably
the most obscure of the Agen Prophecies." Dr. Blake says.
"Nostradamus saw the president of the United States wakened
from slumber by signs and wonders in the sky, possibly the angelic
heralds of the Second Coming.
"The
president appears on TV and tries to calm the fears of the American
people. Sadly, his speech does little to reassure the millions
who know they face the terrible trials and tribulations of the
Last Days."
Dr. Blake says two of Nostradamus' Last Days prophecies have already
come to pass, and the third is yet to be.
"The
Agen Prophecies predicted the end of the world and the return
of Christ." he says. "I can tell you that the end of
time is very near."
