A current issue of TIME MAGAZINE carries quotes from meterologists advising us of the coming possibilities of TWO HUNDRED MILE AN HOUR SUPERCANES, with tremendous amounts of RAIN.

Why did Nostradamus pick Hurricane Floyd as a Prophectic Warning?

As the headings in "Time Magazine," ominously say: "WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE."

Nostradamus on: Hurricane Floyd & Hurricane Gert, A PAIR OF HURRICANES September, 1999

Quatrain 8,22 In French:
"Gorsan, Narbonne, par le sel advertir
Tucham, la grace Parpignam trahie,
La ville rouge n'y vouldra consentir.
Par haulte vol drap gris vie faillie."

In English:
"Coursan, Narbonne through the salt to warn
Tuchan, the grace of Perpignan betrayed;
the red town will not wish to consent to it,
in a high flight, a copy flag and a life ended"

The Commentary and Analysis of Codes and Meanings.

Line One:
"Gorsan, Narbonne, par le sel advertir"
"Coursan, Narbonne through the salt to warn"

The verse opens with a vague, incorrect spelling in the French, for supposedly a town called. "Coursan." All very typical Nostradamus in only giving baffling, and somewhat confusing surface meanings when in engaging in a "first sight," reading. The terms rank with sheer gibberish, if coding is not deciphered. [This subject is considered in other presented documents listed on this forum, and specific books are recommended.]

To continue... However, when the "a," is moved over, we have the mystical language veil of concealment lifted. The word becomes the French spelling for, "COARS," and the letter, "u," standing in code for the PHNONETICALLY INDUCED clue, a sounding riddle, the word, "you," or even, "your." The English equivalent is spelled, "course." We now have the opening coded meaning, "YOUR COURSE ." The very next word in the riddle, or word puzzle if you wish, is: "Narbonne." The coding is accomplished by a Greek Style word Anagram, meaning two or more words are hidden within one. The small, two letter word, "en," meaning "within," or "in the area of," or, "located at," is in use here. Once again, THIS IS SIMPLY ACCOMPLISHED by Nostradamus by the use of SIMULTANEOUS, MULTILANGUAGE USAEAGES to veil the true hidden meanings. The remaining part of the word, "NARBON, spells, the French word for, "at," meaning the location of." Then, the left over letters spell the word, "born." Meaning the place of origination, the birthing location. Yes, the letter, "N," was inverted to become a, "u." This falls in the category of an ORTHOGRAPHIC CLUE, meaning, using the formation of the very letter itself to form a different letter, in this case by simple reversal of form. Once again, an acceptable veiled coding method for giving hidden meaning. Once again, for your reading convenience, the repeating of the very first line: "Gorsan, Narbonne, par le sel advertir" "Coursan, Narbonne through the salt to warn" The very next three letters spell the word, "par," which can mean, "through," as given in the translation. However, when a different language is brought into play, this time, an all time favorite of Nostradamus, LATIN, we arrive at the true obscured meaning. In LATIN, the word, "par," refers to, "a pair," or "both." Then, the closing words, "...the salt to warn." The term, "salt," or as some translations use the term, "the briny," meaning simply, "the OCEAN," or Ocean waters. "The Salt Water[s]." Actually, this is rather a precise relating of the circumstances surrounding both FLOYD AND GERT. These two Hurricanes were indeed tracked with unprecedented WARNINGS, and evacuations. Nostradamus' use of the term, "advertir," meaning, "to warn," might also be broken down into further important coding. The letter, "d," in the coding can Stand for a "q," meaning, clue or hidden meaning. This veils the word, "avert," meaning to change course, or direction. We also have the one two letter word, "ir," meaning, "to go." The obvious synonym for this word is...can you guess it? TO EVACUATE! One more alternative analysis of the first line, uses the small, two letters, "en," taken from the word, " n a r b o r n n e." in a different, but acceptable possibility of even further meaning. The letter, "e," CAN STAND FOR, "AND." This gives us, "and "n." When the "n," is added on to the term, "OCEAN TO WARN," it potentially becomes, "...OCEAN WATER TO WARM," [n+n="M"]. It is not unusual for Nostradamus to give multi-layered meanings to just a few words. The potential for more precise information is embedded in the very words themselves.

To repeat, and go over the information given. A course,[a defined path of movement, often of violent implications,] "a PAIR," BORN IN THE BRINY [SEA], TO[O] WARM, AND, OR "TO WARN." It is true that HURRICANE FLOYD AND GERT, INDEED, "A PAIR," INTIALLY CAME FROM THE SAME AREA OF BIRTH IN THE SEA, MEANING ORIGINATION, AND FOLLOWED THE SAME PATH INTIALLY! ALL CAUSED BY A SEA TOO WARM. This completes only the very first part of the decoded translation. Due to the length of the decoding it will initially be presented in sections.

The Questions YET to be answered are: [see the newly posted Part Two of Three] Where is GERT AND FLOYD specifically mentioned? Does Nostradamus USE the term Florida...OR MIAMI? The very path of the PAIR OF HURRICANES...is it given specifically? Where does it say North Carolina? WELMINGTON? New York? Bermuda? [FOR GERT]. Standby, FOR PART TWO, ALL BASED ON THE FOLLOWING LINES.

The SECOND PART OF THE COMMENTARY BEGINS HERE:

Line Two:

Nostradamus uses Latin here; the word, "TUCHAM," is a made-up word. It does not exist. There is no such word. The term, "tu," in Latin means, "you." The next letter, "c," stands for the PHONETIC sounding of "see." The next letter, a single letter; "h," is the LATIN ABBREVIATION for the term, "hic." It means, "THIS PLACE." The obvious question, is what place? The answer to this word riddle follows: You see[ the "c," phonetically can become, "ci,"this place…"A M+I. This place, "A M I"? Now, what could Nostradamus possibly be referring to? "A M I"? The answer comes quickly in the coding of the very next words. The term, " la grace," hides the true meaning. The "g," is made with a straight down tail, and when inverted can become a "q." The PHONETIC SOUNDING for the word, "cue," meaning a hint, or a clue is to be looked for, or found here. The remaining word, is the very clue we need to complete the puzzle, the word is now, "race," or "tribe," or even, "people," or "folk." The question of course, is what people? The answer is hidden in the very next word in the verse. Once again, Nostradamus uses a word with no real meaning, nor existence. A CLUE for a puzzle to solve. For your convenience, the second line of the verse is repeated here: "Tucham, la grace Parpignam trahie," "Tuchan, the grace of Perpignan betrayed;" To continue: The word, " P A R P I G N A M," is where the hidden meaning will be found. We have the letters: P A R P I G N A M. Now, for the decoding analysis to give the true hidden meaning. Please be aware of the fact, the original word did not really have any meaning, no such word exists. We have the information: This place, "A M." Now, we combine it with the following, "par," becomes the word, "BY,"and the "P," becomes the inverted form, "q," FOR "cue." Simply meaning, a hint or clue. We now have, "AM+by clue. Follow closely, the letters: "I G N A M," reveals the needed information. The letters, "g," and "n," are ORTHOGRAPHIC AND PHONETIC CLUES FOR: "YOU [YOUR] & CLUE [a "q," when inverted]. The letters left, "A M I," by "A M I." The word riddle is now solved, " A M I A M I , or this place of people, "M I A M I." This can also be referring to the FLORIDA area in general. Nostradamus would often pick a particular city to identify a much broader area, such as "PARIS" meaning France. Once again, line two will be repeated for the ease of the reader in following the comments: "Tucham, la grace Parpignam trahie," "Tuchan, the grace of Perpignan betrayed;" Nostradamus would often conceal a great deal of information in the very words of the lines of verse, IN A MULTILAYERED FORM. An alternative possibility for the term, "GRACE, comes into play here. A hidden, veiled piece of vital information is contained in the very word. We have, "Gra…ce," or, phonetically, "SEE THE GRAY" [the "y," is a silent letter].

How could this possibly be of any importance? An astounding bit of veiled information lies hidden here. THE ACTUAL NAME OF THE HURRICANE: "F L O Y D." The name of "FLOYD" comes from the Welsh language. Can you guess what it might mean? Indeed, are we really aware of the real meaning of the very names, and words we use in our everyday activities? THE MEANING OF THE NAME IS: "GRAY" It always comes as somewhat of a surprise when the right word will suddenly be found, and at the right time, and the very right place. There is the argument of making these verses say the right thing. The term, "TWISTING", is inferred. However, if this is truly the case, and you can make the Nostradamus verses relate to all most any situation or event, a question arises, Why is it not possible to find ANOTHER, if not several, "twisted," verses covering the details, and CIRCUMSTANCES of this singular event? Why is just one verse with the information? This is a critically important question. The reader is challenged to answer the question. Now, to continue: The very last word in line two of the verse is: BETRAYED. One the definitions for the word is: "to blow," or in this case, "to be blown." A rather exacting description, however, another piece of vital information lies embedded in the word used. When the word is separated into TWO word: "BE TRAYED" The word, "tray," is defined in the OXFORD ENGLISH DICTIONARY as meaning: "to place an object on a grid [screen].

Indeed, this seems to be very vital information. According to weather reporting channels on the INTERNET, [ yes, we use a grid, or a screen] THIS WAS THE MOST WATCHED WEATHER EVENT IN HISTORY! It also lead to the EVACUATION of over THREE AND ONE HALF MILLION PEOPLE. This was largest evacuation in AMERICAN HISTORY. We can easily see an UNPRECENTED SITUATION, and can better understand why NOSTRADAMUS would write lines of Prophecy on this particular event, one of tremendous historical significance, and a ominous warning of things to come.
