What the heck is going on? Gee, just when I come out of seeing Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ", I have four imminent breaking news events to report. Believe me folks, this is difficult. The movie itself has drained me, in a good and contemplative way, but no less a drain. It is hard to muster up the energy it takes to report on these very important breaking news events. But I must endure. It is my personal "Passion". I feel strongly to report my experience of viewing "The Passion", but this will have to wait at least for a day or two. For now, I will simply say...go see it!

Earth Almost Put on Impact Alert (2/25/04) Astronomers have revealed how they came within minutes of alerting the world to a potential asteroid strike last month. Some scientists believed on 13 January that a 30m object, later designated 2004 AS1, had a one-in-four chance of hitting the planet within 36 hours. It could have caused local devastation and the researchers contemplated a call to President Bush before new data finally showed there was no danger. In a paper presented at this week's Planetary Protection conference in California, veteran asteroid researcher Clark Chapman calls it a "nine-hour crisis". He explains how word reached the astronomical community of an asteroid that had just been discovered by the twin optical telescopes of the Linear automated sky survey in New Mexico. Full Story:

X-Class Flares Explodes Suddenly (2/25/04)

Just two hour before air-time for ECTV's 'Radio Hour', an X-Class flare erupts from the Sun. It came after the sunspot count shot up to 107. It appears this eruption came from sunspot region 564. Possible CME is to follow. Watch for sudden 'freak storms' to occur within 48 hours. (see equation) Equation: Sunspots => Solar Flares => Magnetic Field Shift => Shifting Ocean and Jet Stream Currents => Extreme Weather and Human Disruption (mitch battros) Folks, this one caught everyone off guard. One cannot help but wonder what is going on in our solar system. 1) Two comets heading our way, and will be seen with the naked eye in April and May. 2) Asteroids grazing the planet 3) Sudden and unexpected X-Class flares. And all this at the very time "The Passion" is released. No, I'm not slipping into woo-woo land, but hey, sometimes you just got to say....Hmmmm

New 4th EQ 200 Miles So. of Yellowstone Measures 3.5 mag. (2/25/04)

USGS is reporting a 3.5 magnitude quake occurred approx. 200 miles south of Yellowstone Super-Volcano. It registered near the Utah - Wyoming boarder. Notice has not been produced to determine if it is another "mine-blast" or earthquake. Interesting to say the least of this sudden implantation by the USGS of describing recent seismic activity as "mine-blast".

There is something else of serious consequence to consider. It now appears a "donut theory" series of earthquakes have occurred in the Yellowstone area. The term "donut theory" comes out of California, when someone (or scientific body) noticed that when a series of smaller earthquakes occurred in a circular fashion, a much larger quake would occur in the center of the surrounding quakes. What makes this a serious consideration, is the fact that Yellowstone Super-Volcano is just too darn close to the possible epicenter.

As a result of this latest event, I will attempt to bring on geologist/seismologist to help explain the "donut theory" and potential danger of the Wyoming area.

Greenspan Urges Social Security Cuts (02/25/04)

Is this the first sign of an economic collapse as foretold in Mayan Prophecy?
