An M2-class solar flare (pictured right in an H-alpha animation)
erupted above sunspot group 9246 at 2230 UT on Dec. 6th. The explosion
triggered minor radio blackouts on the sunlit side of Earth. Otherwise,
solar activity has been low and should remain so for the next
24 hours.
