group of sunspots showing signs of possible earth directed eruptions

high density solar wind and geomagnetic disturbances. More warfare
and bad weather ahead. ~Larry Wright

SUNSPOTS:
The solar disk appears remarkably low on sunspots today. Nevertheless,
active region 9254 has rapidly grown to seven times its size just
two days ago. The diminutive spot group could pose a threat for
eruptions if its magnetic field becomes more complex.
CORONAL
HOLE: A moderately large coronal hole, shown in this SOHO
extreme ultraviolet image, is nearing the center of the Sun's
disk. Solar wind gusts from the hole will likely buffet Earth's
magnetosphere this weekend and could trigger auroras.
