As some of you in the Bay Area already heard, Antioch got hit with a major thunderstorm Monday. Actually, we got two. One around 4:30pm and another at 8:00pm.

The first one brought 15 minutes of pea - marble sized hail. In the ten years of living in Antioch I have never seen a storm this vicious. We picked up an inch and a quarter of rain in the 20 minute storm. Lightning struck at various place in the area at least 15 times. What struck me as wierd is that the water was red after it hit the ground. Im not sure if it was run off from the lawns or what... but the water was red and it looked like there was blood in the water.

The second storm was mainly a lightning event. This storm came from the south, instead of the west like the other one. We got some more hail with this one, except not as big.

I wanted to let you know that there was a tornado day before yesterday in Parsons, Kansas during which time observers reported that the sky was red, there was a sound like a freight train, and people who were not afraid of anything realized what fear really was. Just wanted to let you know.
