There's no electricity and no water at the Shrine of Democracy. Thousands are still without power in several areas of western South Dakota, and could be until next week.

Power poles and trees toppled under the weight of heavy snow. More than a foot of snow on the roads is making it difficult for crews to get the outages fixed.
