Divers Seal Source of Oil Slick Near Athens

In Greece, divers have staunched the flow of oil from a shipwrecked cargo liner which has already soiled 40-kilometers of the coast line.

More than 700-tonnes of oil began to flow towards beaches in the northeastern Attica region after the Cambodian-registered ship split in two while loading cement in the bay of Lefkandi.

A Ukrainian sailor was killed and four other seamen injured in the accident.
