Aircraft an Easy Ride For Mosquitoes Carrying Malaria
GENEVA, Switzerland (ENS) - Mosquitoes are taking the plane and spreading malaria to Europe and North America, according to a new study published by the World Health Organization. The study says airport malaria can often go undiagnosed by physicians in developed nations unused to the disease and its consequences. In one of five cases reported in Switzerland in 1990, it took more than a month for a correct diagnosis to be made, says the study.
